Our commitment to sustainability
We strive to embed sustainability in all elements of our business, from the ingredients sourced to the wrapping and packaging:
Production
All ingredients are purchased in bulk from a small number of suppliers to minimise carbon footprint and packaging - all raw materials and ingredients supplied have been checked in line with the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny criteria.
Where possible we look to use UK ingredients - for example, did you know that our Sleep Tight Shower Steamer uses Cotswold English Lavender essential oil?
Bath bombs are made in small batches, any breakages during production are used to produce bath dusts or product samples to keep waste to an absolute minimum.
Wrapping
Our bath bombs are shrink-wrapped for protection using polyolefin shrink bags - unlike PVC shrink-wrap it is fully recyclable and designed for multiple uses, has a lower carbon footprint than other packaging materials and extends the shelf-life of products as well as decreasing the chances of breakages
Our Signature bath bombs are wrapped in Batik fabric squares - we use fabric offcuts used for quilting that are supplied in the exact size needed for the bath bombs leading to zero waste, and the fabric squares can be reused by customers. Our Special and Lavish bath bombs come in white organza bags - again a great option for customers to reuse again and again.
Our bath dusts come in reusable plastic containers, and our shower steamers in reusable mylar bags.
Packaging
All product labels, gift cards and envelopes, and wrapping paper used for our gift bags are printed on recycled paper that is FSC certified, completely chlorine-free and recyclable.
Our postal and gift boxes are made from 62% recycled materials and are fully recyclable (suitable for home recycling), the shredded zig-zag paper box filler we use is made from 100% recycled material and is fully recyclable.
